Free Acne Treatment

"Buyer beware" is a common phrase for shopping advice, and couldn't be more true when you fall upon free acne advice. No matter what you read, no one can offer a miracle acne cure, and everyone suffers from the occasional breakout or blemish. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Read the advertisements and claims carefully and think twice before you shell out money to buy a product because the free acne advice promotes it.

Almost nothing is free, but there is one free acne treatment available. This is not an acne cure, but it helps to reduce acne, as well as help make your skin much healthier, if used in moderation. This acne treatment is natural sunlight, which stimulates your skin and helps your body produce vitamin D. In addition to regulating calcium and phosphorous levels in the blood stream, vitamin D is also believed to strengthen the immune system and regulate cell growth, both of which are crucial for helping your body fight and resist acne naturally. Quick Acne Tips

Why is acne often red, bumpy, and filled with pus?

This may be the question to which you most want an answer. Most people do not mind an occasional blemish on the skin. Some, though, wonder why acne has to be so drastic. Why does it come in the color of red? Why does acne have to be so obvious?

Well, there is a reason for the overly bright nature of acne. After the oil secretions under your skin build up, they must go somewhere. Much like a volcano that cannot hold lava any longer, pores with the most blockages cannot hold the strong bacteria found in acne. It manages to seep through the pores and make its way to the surface of the skin, thus allowing bacteria to infect the skin. Unfortunately, the skin's reaction to this infection is to turn red and swell.

What is acne?

For thousands of years, people have struggled with acne. Known in some cultures as a curse from the gods for immoral behavior, acne has largely been misunderstood. Only within the past century or so has the medical field been able to identify the true causes of acne. As one might expect, this has allowed those who suffer the blemishes to gain a certain sense of relief.

An inflammatory disease of the skin, acne is the result of severe changes in the skin's structure. Acne is thought to be the body's unusual response to a relatively normal production of testosterone, a male hormone. Rather than a sign that one's skin is not clean, acne is more closely associated with the hormonal and bacterial activity beneath the skin, which eventually leads to the irritation of the skin. The result is the red swelling we know as acne.
